A black dial that changes textures at the line, satin on the upper half and finely grained below, in a case plated in brushed gold. It is the strongest contrast in the 1000 series, and the only Aekvator where both sets of hands are gold.
The gold is not uniform. Hour and minute hands are satin. The second hand is polished, and catches light the other two let pass. That same distinction runs through the dial: twelve hour numerals printed in gold, four 24-hour figures in white and a date aperture bevelled with a gold rim that picks up light at its edge.
Below the case, everything is black. Padded leather, black stitching, a black edge. Nothing on the strap asks to be looked at.
The Miyota 8215 runs date only, no day, so the dial holds a single aperture rather than two.

Automatic movement
No battery. The watch is wound by the movement of your wrist and keeps running as long as you wear it. Every Aekvator uses a Miyota automatic calibre with 40 to 42 hours of power reserve once you set it down.

The warranty applies to watches bought at jacobjensen.com or from an authorised Jacob Jensen retailer, and becomes valid once the accompanying warranty card has been dated and fully completed. If you buy from an authorised retailer, they will complete the card for you. For jacobjensen.com orders, we complete it when your order is shipped.
Please keep the warranty card and your original proof of purchase, as both may be required when making a warranty claim.
